stick-2By Jayanath Appudurai

At first it was a Christian plot!

It did not stick…

Then it was a Hindu-Jewish plot!

It did not stick…

Sorry, it was a Communist plot!

It did not stick…

Very sorry-lah - it is a Foreign plot!

It did not stick…

And, the People asked – What else?

So in panic, “they” run to the Raja!

The Nation waits with bated breath…

Will the “Walk for Democracy” become a stroll?

Or will it be the beginning of another “plot”?

Their Royal Gambit having failed, they have elected to ignore His Majesty's edict.

Things are going on like nothing has changed.

I fear His Majesty may have to pay a price for choosing to remain neutral.
