From up above, the Land Beneath the Wind is a giddy watercolour of turquoise and ultramarine, and thin streaks of surf breaking as they approach the coastline. The reefs reach up close to the main island. To the casual traveler, this has to be paradise.

Lyn sent us this wonderful picture taken while passing through the rice bowl of the peninsula's central region. She writes:

I took this photo while I was in my dad's car traveling back to KL from my grandmother's place in Pusing, Perak. It was a journey which cut through vast expands of paddy fields in the state of Perak. But against the backdrop of rural tranquility, the high tension cable towers remains a constant reminder of urbanization.
