silence-1

By Jayanath Appudurai

We live in interesting, nay dangerous times!

The silent majority needs to “talk” and real fast to save this nation!
We know many things are just “not right” in our beloved land.
The bigots and charlatans rule the roost!
They claim to speak for us and yet we remain silent!
Why do we choose to remain silent?
Because we “fear”! We fear:

  • Losing our livelihood
  • Losing our property
  • Being arrested
  • Being stigmatized
  • Our pathetic lives would end!
  • Et Cetera! Et Cetera! Et Cetera!
  •

    And we are quite “happy” to let someone else do the job - “cheering” perhaps even “jeering”- from the security of our homes. Homes that would be rendered meaningless when the soul of the nation is shredded!

    Yeats “Second Coming” comes to mind…

    “Turning and turning in the
    widening gyre
    The falcon cannot hear the
    falconer;
    Things fall apart; the centre
    cannot hold;
    Mere anarchy is loosed upon
    the world,
    The blood-dimmed tide is
    loosed, and everywhere
    The ceremony of innocence is
    drowned;
    The best lack all conviction,
    while the worst
    Are full of passionate intensity”

    Reflect on this …..

    Perhaps then you will choose …
    To break your silence!

    Thank you, Mr. JA for your rallying cry to uncondition ourselves. Malaysians, have already broken into the sound of silence.

    Today, their voices carry the breadth of conviction. They can no longer be silenced.

    We saw a particular anger and intensity of the best of our Malaysians, not the rich and the famous, come out with one voice spirit and soul recently, 20th May 2011, and with due intensity and passion, yell out to the Lynas Corporation of Australia to "Get Out" from Kuantan Malaysia and not toxify our precious country.

    They reasoned why, and made reply.

    Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

    Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.

    Get free downloads for Internet Explorer 7, including recommended updates as they become available. To download Internet Explorer 7 in the language of your choice, please visit the Internet Explorer 7 worldwide page.
